Distribution Driver

Job Summary of Distribution Driver:

Provides support for shuttle functions with the aid of a non-articulated vehicle; loading and unloading planes and cars, and sorting packages are some of the responsibilities. Completes other tasks as directed.

Minimum Education of Distribution Driver:

High school diploma/GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of Distribution Driver:

• Knowing how to complete all primary and recurrent training with expertise, with the potential to lift 50 lbs.
• Being able to manage heavy packages exceeding 50 pounds appropriately using proper equipment or the support of a fellow employee, revealing physical dexterity.
• Competent at handling electronic and manual equipment skillfully. Must comply with the prerequisites detailed in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Capable of communicating proficiently in a noisy and time-sensitive operational atmosphere.

Job Conditions of Distribution Driver:

FHWA or FAA requirements mandate a medical check-up. This is not a job designation that is safety-sensitive. Being vigilant and working safely are the foremost requirements. Furthermore, possessing a valid license for the type of equipment being operated is important.
